During my flight to Alaska last night (for work – pure coincidence), which included quite a few tears and the consumption of a substantial amount of red wine, I seemed to finally get to the point where I could put some of my feelings into written words. So here goes. In oh-so-many of my conversations with Lara, it was totally obvious that she was at least a good mental plane or two beyond me. Therefore, I can’t say I entirely understand her concept of infinite, but I know it meant enough to her to tattoo the symbol onto her forearm. So I am going to try to understand its meaning to her. I can say right now that she fits my concept of infinite. She’s constantly in my thoughts. She had never-ending energy. Somehow you knew she would stick with you forever. The Lara spirit. Yet all the same, clearly I am not really embracing this infinite idea, because I can’t imagine our lab without the physical Lara. I miss her already. I will never forget all the times she made me laugh until I cried. I love you Lara.
